CM Vision – Adapting The church vision

Your Question:

“How do we incorporate the church vision into our CM vision?”

The Issues:

If your church has a vision statement, it is much more advisable to “adapt” or “personalize” the church vision statement to suit the CM.  When you work on using the “core” of the church vision statement, you clearly establish that the CM is a significant part of the overall church.

Scripture Foundation:

Without a vision the people perish.”  Proverbs 29:18; “In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your path straight.”  Proverbs 3:6; “Go into all the world…”  Matthew 28: 19-20

Short Answer:

View the church vision statement through the “lens” of the CM. Take the words of the vision statement, and add specific words that reflect the CM.  For instance, if the overall church vision statement is “To know God, and to make Him known”; a CM version might be “The CM exists to lead children to know God, and then to prepare them to make Him known to others.”  For more help, click on the links below.
